cheer party… 2019
We’re celebrating early here on Style Only Smiles. I am super excited to write this blog, because it is all about the CHEER PARTY. Life is worth celebrating and this past year has been one I am ready to reflect back on. It’s time to toast with my favorite thing, SCARVES! So buckle and bundle up, it’s cozy in here.
Bring out your cheer, write down your year, it’s time to celebrate all the victories. Look, you even faced your fears.
It’s easy to move fast these days, especially around this time of year. Don’t let this year pass by without celebrating the most important thing – YOU!
The holidays are right around the corner. We are all balancing and holding way more than just scarves. We multitask, problem solve, and try to do it all in a way that works for us. The question I ask is, “Have you taken a break for you?”.
Take a minute and think about your accomplishments in 2019. Play them our in your mind. What did you learn? Did you grow from the experiences? Did you celebrate your triumphs? Big or small, they all matter and are part of our own personal victory story. Don’t hide your successes, share them! Examples: Did you try a new hair cut and love it? CELEBRATE IT! Did you finally paint the living room a perfect new color? CELEBRATE IT! Did you start a blog, when you were scared, and questioned if you could really do it? Okay, that one was me… AND HECK YES, I DID! NOW IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE! Let’s all make a personal cheer list to cheer about.

What I accomplished and conquered was fear. I have health issues and there is no cure (nothing terminal) but instead of being afraid of what will happen, I conquered acceptance and learning how to deal with it and not let it hold me back. There are some things I cannot do but that is okay and accepting that is an obstacle but I did it. I did it. Life is awesome, we have to enjoy it.
My one goal I have completed this year is to let things go and try not to get stressed over the little things. I feel this goal will always be a work in progress but I feel up to this point I have been doing a pretty good job. I suffered a panic attack in 2018 that landed me in the ER because my job was literally killing me because of all the stress it caused. After that I switched jobs and promised myself I would never let another job get so intertwined with my personal life that I would jepordize my health. Stress is a part of life but I have been better at handling what comes at me.
You are amazing brave!!! Its hard to do what you did & even scarier to put yourself out there for the world to critic! Props to you! You better CELEBRATE IT girl!! I, too, am proud of starting my “fashion instagram” & making it to ltkit. I’m a stay at home mom in the middle of nowhere. So even though it may seem vain to most, Instafram is my creative outlet & social outlet to the world outside of being a mom & has giving me a tiny sense of accomplishment! I also gave up meat almost 3 months ago, so I am very proud of that!
In 2018 I wrote on my Vision Board, She Speaks 2019 and the dates. I am glad to say that I attended the Conference. It was an amazing time and I learned so much. I had kind of forgot about it with everything going on this time of year, so I’m grateful for your reminder to pause and look back.
I have made it through my first year of blogging and have enjoyed it so much!! I always see your post and they make me smile!! Your ig handle is so fitting for you!! Your smile is contagious!!
I didn’t really have any goals going in to 2019 but I did go waaaay out of my comfort zone and attend an event that I really wanted to go to but where I knew I would be uncomfortable. I went and it changed my life AND made me set goals for 2020.
One goal I accomplished and am working on everyday is to slow down and be present. We are always in such a rush to get to the next thing that we are missing out on what’s right in front of our faces. I also decided that I needed to make “me time” a priority. That means that a lot of the time I am up at 3/4 am before everyone else and work but it has been life changing. Proud of you and all of your goals. I know I keep telling you this but I think you are amazing, you are courageous and honest. Glad to be apart of your journey and getting to watch you become even more amazing than you were ( hard to believe that was even possible !!!) ❤️❤️❤️
I have accomplished letting go of feeling guilty by taking some “me time”. So whether it is a workout, a walk with the dog, or reading a book, I have tried to focus on getting something in everyday!
I wrote & self published a whiskey guide!! Like what the what. Cheers to me Thanks for the reminder that this year brought a lot of growth✨
Love this cheers post! One thing I’m psyched about is officially launching my styling business. I took a leap of faith and left my full-time job to try and pursue my passion and I’m DOING it!!
2019 was hard. I lost two close friends to cancer within 7 months. I struggled with anxiety and fear. As I sit here now and think about this- The year taught me to step back and look at my life and the people around me. Focus on the good and enjoy the now.
Well survived a car trip to NC with painful 10 herniated discs

How awesome! You have so many accomplishments to be proud of and you always take such lovely photos! My goal that I crushed this year was starting my style page and actually sticking with it.
I started a blog!! Love scarves this time of year and those are so pretty!!
I’ve learned there are those that don’t think of others first but of only themselves. While it doesn’t reflect my values I’ve had to learn to let go of the fact that it may reflect theirs. While also challenging I’m committed to not let it bring me down b/c I care too much. Baby steps… but I would like to think I’ve made progress on this one.
I love this post, and celebrating the accomplishments of the year. My biggest and one that makes me most proud is that I launched my business, Daydream Design Co and went full-time with it. One of my biggest dreams ever, and I conquered it even though this year was a challenging one.
You’re incredible and I cannot wait to see more in 2020! 🙂
What an amazing year you had! You have every reason to be proud of yourself!
Since I was pregnant 9 out of the 12 months this year, my goal was to have a healthy, active pregnancy. I didn’t want my pregnancy to give me the excuse to eat whatever I wanted because I was “eating for two” or to be lazy, so I made a goal to continue my weekly workouts with my trainer and continue to eat healthy. Luckily I had very little morning sickness So that helped me to achieve my goal and I’m proud to say that I maintained being active 36 of the 38 weeks I was pregnant. Also, I made adjustments where needed so I could stay active, for example I started swimming the last month and a half of my pregnancy, instead of my usual hiking/walking to help get rid of swelling and take pressure off of my joints. I also listened to my body when it told me to stop. I truly believe the reason I had such a good pregnancy and delivery was because I maintained my healthy habits
All the cheer!!! I’ve just completed my very first 24 weeks of Yoga! I’ve learned so much!
